Holt Night Out - Monday at Red Robin!

Too Sick For School? In the school setting, contagious diseases can easily spread among students. Please keep students with the following symptoms out of school:

Fever: temperature of 100.4°F or greater
- New persistent and unconrollable cough
- New difficulty breathing

Diarrhea: 3 loose or watery stools in a day OR not able to control bowel movements

Vomiting: one or more episodes that are unexplained
- Headache with stiff neck and fever

Electronics Recycling Competition Do you have unwanted, unused, or broken electronics in your home but don’t know what to do with them? Donate them to help Holt win the 2025 Electronics Recycling Competition! Eligible e-waste includes microwaves, TVs, printers, cords, cables, cell phones, computers, computer accessories (monitors, keyboards, mice, computer speakers, etc., whether in working condition or not), tablets, old or broken game consoles, remotes, and AV equipment (i.e., stereos, speakers, DVD players, etc.). But no plastic, non-electronic items (i.e., toys, vacuums, etc.). Your electronics will be recycled properly or repaired and given to community members who need them. We will have collection bins at Holt Feb. 27 to Mar. 6, so start setting aside your old electronics now! |

Monthly Walk+Roll to School Day, WEDNESDAY! The first Wednesday of each month is Walk & Roll Day! We encourage all students to walk, bike, carpool, or ride the bus to school.
Holt Friendship Day, FRIDAY, FEB. 14th! On February 5th, Bertha Holt would be 121 years old. To honor the legacy of our school’s namesake, Holt is holding a Friendship Day this Friday, Feb. 14th. In place of a Valentine’s Day celebration, which often just focuses on cards and candy, Holt students will focus on the importance of friendship and being kind to one another. Watch for information from your child’s teacher for details on any classroom-specific celebration.
Girls on the Run Grades 3-5: Girls on the Run is looking for 2-3 coaches to spend 3 hours a week supporting healthy development and having a ton of fun. The program begins March 17, Mondays 2:30-4 and Wednesdays 1:30-3:00 at Holt. Email Holt SSC Kim McManus at mcmanus_k@4j.lane.edu is you are interested or have questions.

Holt After School Chess Club: The Holt Chess Club welcomes new players to try the club to see how they like it before paying the tuition. Don’t worry if you don’t know how to play. We will teach you! We also enjoy having skilled players and invite you to sharpen those skills with our other great players. Boy Scouts Open House, Feb. 10
Attention, 5th graders! Come to the Scouts open house on Feb 10 at 7 pm at Westminster Presbyterian Church on 777 Coburg Rd. There will be food, games and fun.
