Holt Friendship Day, FRIDAY, FEB. 14th!
On February 5th, Bertha Holt would be 121 years old. To honor the legacy of our school’s namesake, Holt is holding a Friendship Day this Friday, Feb. 14th. In place of a Valentine’s Day celebration, which often just focuses on cards and candy, Holt students will focus on the importance of friendship and being kind to one another. Watch for information from your child’s teacher for details on any classroom-specific celebration.
Holt Bolt T-Shirt Sponsors Still Needed!
We are still in need of some Holt Bolt shirt sponsors! We have the "Bottom Bolt" spot and several "Big Bolt" sponsorships available. Let Ashley Reich know if you are interested by email at reich_a@4j.lane.eduLooking for a fun way to be a part of the shirts? The "Bolt Pride" spots can be used for business names or shoutouts! For example, "In Honor of Bob" or "Electra Rocks". Every "Bolt Pride" slot filled will allow us to purchase over 20 shirts for a Holt kid! Every bit helps!

Monthly Walk+Roll to School Day!
The first Wednesday of each month is Walk & Roll Day! We encourage all students to walk, bike, carpool, or ride the bus to school. If you live a long way from school, try parking a ten-minute walk from school and walking the rest of the way. Older students can walk on their own. Younger students will need to walk or bike with an adult. Our goal is to reduce traffic and pollution around our school and to promote physical activity for our students. Students who ride the bus are doing their part by participating in the biggest carpool of all! Teaching your child to use their body to get to school and other places builds their confidence and keeps them healthy.

Coats Reminder
It's cold all this week, so remind your kids to bring a warm coat to school. Also, remember to write your child's name inside their coat so they don't lose it.
