Spring Break Food Assistance
Harlow Serves would like to provide your child with food assistance over Winter Break. This program is for students currently enrolled at Holt Elementary. Food Boxes need to be picked up at Holt on Wednesday, March 19th or Thursday, March 20th, 7:30am-3:00pm. The deadline is Friday, March 14 for signing up at https://bit.ly/feedhope-spring2025
Food Assistance Donations are Accepted Now! Want to help Harlow Serves with its food assistance program? Holt will have two barrels out front where families can drop off any donations. Families can also make online donations through the Holt PTO Zeffy portal. We can most use:

2nd and 4th Grade Music Performance, THURSDAY
We are excited to inform you about an upcoming music performance for our 2nd-grade and 4th-grade students. The performance will showcase activities we have been doing all year in class. The students have been working hard to have a great performance. Attire will be casual, but feel free to dress nicely. We wanted to provide you with some important details about the event. Holt School Spirit Day, Friday, March 21 - When I Grow Up Day/Career Day Friday, March 21 is a Holt Spirit Day, and this time, it’s When I Grow Up Day/Career Day! Kids can think about what career they want when they grow up and dress up for that job! Or just wear your Holt Spirit Gear or school colors.
 Girls on the Run Information 3rd-5th Grades Girls on the Run inspires individuals of all abilities to discover, build, and grow their self-confidence. Together, they experience a sense of belonging and connection as a team. Volunteer coaches facilitate lessons that blend physical activity with life skill development, including managing emotions, fostering friendships, and expressing empathy. At the end of the season, the team completes a Community Impact Project and a 5K together, which provides a tangible sense of accomplishment and sets a confident mindset into motion.WHO: Grades 3-5

State Tests: Opting Out FEB 24 MARCH 3
Under Oregon law, a parent or student age 18+ may opt out of Oregon’s annual statewide math and language arts assessments by filling out an annual opt-out form, which, starting this year, can be submitted online. Exemptions from the English language proficiency (for students whose primary language is not English) or science tests may also be requested based on a student’s disability or religious beliefs. Mobile Pantry Food and Clothing Distribution, FRIDAY
The Food for Lane Co. Mobile Pantry runs a monthly FREE food and clothing distribution at the Sheldon Community Center. It will be inside the Community Center, in the Aspen Room, on the second Friday of each month from 1:00 to 3:00.
