First Day of School

ALL GRADES: First day of school is Wednesday, September 7th, 7:55-2:25.

Meet Your Teacher, Tuesday, Sept. 6th, 2:00-3:00

Holt will host an IN-PERSON Meet Your Teacher event on Tuesday, September 6th from 2:00-3:00, the day before the first day of school.

This is a wonderful opportunity for your child to view their new classroom and introduce themselves to their new teacher and classmates. Please plan on attending! Class placement will be emailed to families the afternoon of Friday, September 2nd by your child’s classroom teacher.

Kona Ice will be on the playground at 2:00 selling Shave Ice and are donating a percentage of all sales!

Kinderzone (First Week of Kindergarten)

Kindergarten students do not start with an assigned classroom and class lists are built as we learn more about our kiddos!

COVID Protocol Updates

School District 4J will release information to families soon, but with only a few exceptions, schools are for the most part back to business as usual. 

Visitors and volunteers are still limited, but now that there are no cohorting or distancing requirements, schools are once again allowed to have breakfast in the cafeteria, hold all-school assemblies, go on field trips, host Kidsports games in gyms, and other fun school experiences we all grew up with!

Students and staff who test positive for COVID will continue to stay home for 5-days from the onset of symptoms, but in general, we are back to “If you feel sick, STAY HOME!” As was in the past, if your child has a fever, they must be 24-hours fever free without medication before returning. 

Watch for more information from 4J, but please contact Principal Allan Chinn if you have any questions. 

 

Morning Arrival Procedures

All students will enter the building through their assigned areas at 7:50. Student arriving before the doors open should wait in line. See the list below for your grade level entrance and/or click the map below to enlarge.

Families dropping students off by car are encouraged to park in the North Park Community Church parking lot across the street and walk to school. This greatly reduces traffic congestion in our parking lot.

 

Morning Breakfast

Breakfast will begin serving at 7:30 in the cafeteria and will end at 7:50. Students wanting breakfast may walk to the cafeteria. When they finish eating, they should walk to their designated grade level entrance. Students arriving late should check in at the office and will receive a grab-and-go breakfast. Breakfast and lunches are free for all students.

 

Late Students to Office

Doors close at 7:55 and any students arriving after that need to check in at the office before going to class. 

There will be some grace the first week of school, but starting the first full week of school, all doors will close promptly at 7:55. 

 

Dismissal Procedures

At the end of the day, students will exit the building with their teacher, using their designated entrance/exit doors. Bus riders will be escorted by staff to their bus. Students biking or walking will exit with their teacher. Students waiting to be picked up will wait with their teacher in the designated areas below.

Drivers should follow the one way direction traffic flow indicated in the map below.

 

Parking Lot Reminders

The parking lot is for families who want to walk their child to the building entrances during arrival or who wish to meet their child at the end of the day at dismissal. Please note the following rules for the parking lot:

• ONLY cross using the crosswalk. Students and families should never cut across the driveway.
• Before using the crosswalk, students and adults must stop and look for cars.

If a student arrives before the doors open at 7:55, they will wait in their car or stand on a sidewalk spot by their assigned entrance. Families dropping students off by car are encouraged to park in the North Park Community Church parking lot across the street and walk to school. This greatly reduces traffic congestion in our parking lot.

 

Curbside Pausing Parking Reminders

In the mornings, students may be dropped off along the curb. At the end of the day, drivers can pause park along the curb to pick up their students when they come out at dismissal. Please note the following rules for pause parking:

• Drivers must remain in their cars at all times.
• Drivers should pull forward as space becomes available.
• Drivers should NOT stop in marked crosswalk areas.
• When getting in or out of a car, students must use the door on the sidewalk side. Students should never get in or out of a car on the driver’s side. It’s unsafe for the student and it slows traffic.
• Drivers must remember to ALWAYS yield at the painted crosswalks and sidewalks.

 

 

School Supplies… just a backpack

School District 4J is providing most of the supplies families usually buy. Please plan on sending your student to school with a backpack (no wheels, please). Your child’s teacher may have a few other small supply requests which they’ll share once school starts, but we have the pencils, crayons, markers, scissors, and other basics covered.

 

PAHS (Parents at Holt Elementary School) Meeting Thursday @6:00

We are once again allowed to conduct in-person PAHS (Parents at Holt Elementary School) meetings and our first meeting of the year will be this Thursday at 6:00pm in the cafeteria. 

Come to our parent group meetings to learn how you can help the first few days of school, hear about plans for the year, and receive an update from the principal.

Holt Work Day 2022
Saturday, August 27th 8:00-12:00

3-hours can make a big difference!  Join your neighbors in helping Holt Elementary School by weeding and beautifying the ground this coming Saturday, August 27th from nine to noon.

The morning will be spent working together to weed around the school landscaping. A FREE pizza lunch is being provided by North Park Community Church as a thank you for investing in our neighborhood.

Here is how to get involved:

1. REGISTER HERE to help the planners. Use the contact form to let them know how many are coming.
2. Bring your whole family to Holt at 9:00am Saturday, August 27th. If you can, please bring weeding tools & work gloves, and a wheelbarrow.
3. Stay for a free lunch (space is limited, so register to save your spot).

This is a family opportunity, so bring the kids!

 

Project Hope

We wanted to share a great opportunity for those who need a little extra help this school year. Project Hope provides students with shoes, socks, backpacks and school supplies before the school year starts. This event will take place at two locations on Sunday, August 28th in the afternoon. Please register through the link below for one location only.

Welcome New Holt Staff!

Please welcome the following folks to the amazing Holt Staff!

• Kendalynn Ball (3rd Grade) – Kendalynn also student taught at Holt this past year in Liz Ayres classroom and also taught 2nd grade at summer school at Holt the past two months. 

• Librarian (Robbie Cortez) – The 4J School Board is piloting having licensed librarians for five years in three schools and Holt is one of those schools. Robbie was our classified librarian this past year, but he’s also a licensed educator and we gladly hired him for this new licensed position. 

• Michael Dempsey (2nd Grade) – Michael is an experienced teacher who’s taught since 2004, starting out teaching primary grade students in the Bronx, New York to teaching at the Hong Kong International School and most recently teaching at the Ruamrudee International School in Thailand. 

• Marissa Harshbarger (3rd Grade) – Marissa student taught at Edgewood Elementary Schools last year in a 4/5 blended classroom and has prior experience as a special educations EA and also a Behavior EA in Springfield.

• Emily Henson (Special Education) – Emily is our new full-time special education teacher and comes to us from Utah where she taught in a self contained classroom at an autism charter school. 

• Felisha LaCuesta (Family Resource Coordinator) – Felicia comes to us from the Salem-Kaiser School District where she was the McKinney-Vento (homeless) Student Advocate. This is a new position 4J is adding to several schools who’s role is to help Holt families needing assistance with food, housing, transportation, and other needs. Watch for more information on how Felicia will be able to help Holt Families!

• Whitney Oliver (Special Education) – Whitney is our new part-time special education teacher, who will be at Holt in the morning and Gilham in the afternoon. She’s an experienced teacher who was most recently the comprehensive learning center teacher at Chavez Elementary School.

• Myah Rahborn (2nd Grade) – Myah student taught at Holt last year with Ashley Reich and was later a regular sub for us in the spring, but before that was an EA in Lebanon School District and ended her time there teaching 3rd grade on an emergency license.

• New Classified Staff – I’d also like to welcome our new Lead Custodian Jeremy Rutledge, our new Behavior Support Educational Assistant (EA) Levi Thompson, our new Dynamo EAs Carol Eichers and Lori Tingue, and our newest Kindergarten EA Amber Callier.

Student Attendance and Tardies

One of the most reliable predictors of school success is regular attendance. Absences for any reason result in lost instruction time. We know that students who fall behind often become discouraged learners. It is our hope that we can work together to encourage your child’s regular attendance and success at school. We understand that there are many factors in your lives that make it difficult, at times, for your child to be in school or on time. However, it is important that we work with you to reduce these to an absolute minimum. Class activities start promptly in the morning. This morning class time is one of the most important times of the day. When a child comes in late, not only have they missed valuable class time, it is disruptive to their classmates.

When your child is going to be late or absent from school, please call the attendance line at 790-6111, before 8:15 a.m. and inform the office staff. You may leave a message on the voice mail, if calling before office hours. Please leave the name of your child, their teacher’s name, and the reason for the absence. It is extremely important that this be done, as every child must be accounted for on a daily basis. As a friendly reminder, according to Oregon Truancy Regulations, if your student has eight unexcused half-day absences in any four-week period, you will receive a letter from the school notifying you of our attendance concerns. Please understand that if irregular attendance continues, we will be obligated to make a referral to a truant officer for further investigation.

 

YMCA After School Care

Holt’s YMCA After School program is full, but it’s not too late to get on the waiting list. Visit the YMCA Website for details.

 

Update Your Child’s Health Information

Ensure your child’s health records are current. We want to be aware of respiratory based diagnosis, allergies, or other health conditions. Linked here is the Asthma Assessment Form and the General Medical Profile Form, which you can email or deliver to front office staff.

 

FREE Breakfast & Lunches

All students will be provided with a free breakfast and lunch. No paperwork necessary. For breakfast, students may walk to the cafeteria. When finished eating breakfast, they should walk to their designated entrance. Students arriving late will be offered a grab-and-go breakfast at the office. Lunches is also free to all students. 

 

Nut Free Table in Cafeteria

For students with nut allergies, we offer a Nut-Free Table for students to eat. Students may bring a friend with them to the Nut-Free Table if the friend has a school provided meal, which are always nut-free.

 

Messages for Students

Please make sure that your child knows what they are expected to do when the school day is over before they leave home in the morning. Staff are not available to hand deliver messages throughout the day and when the bell rings at the end of the school day it is difficult to connect with individual children. We are happy to deliver messages in an EMERGENCY situation, but if at all possible please make sure that your child(ren) knows who will pick them up, if they should walk home, or ride the bus before they leave for school.

 

How do I find my child’s bus stop? 

4J’s Transportation Department has a system for finding your child’s bus stop and times. The steps are as follows: 

Go to www.4j.lane.edu, select the “department” tab, next select the “transportation” tab, and then finally select “find my bus stop” and enter your address. This will give the most accurate information available.

 

Student Information Available to Non-Custodial Parents

Holt Elementary is able to provide all co-custodial or non-custodial parents a duplicate copy of all district labeled mailings. Please let the school office know if you would like the name of a co-custodial or non-custodial parent added to the student’s enrollment information.

It’s a great time to connect with your child and could become a favorite part of your day!

Learn to Ride a Bike – A Free, All Ages, Drop-In Event!
Wednesday, August 31st, stop by any time between 4:30-7:00pm

Do you or your child want to learn how to ride a bike? Get the instruction and practice needed to balance and glide before trying pedaling in order to take that next step with skills and confidence. Some will learn to pedal in one session, while others may need to participate in future events or practice on your own to reach that final goal. Regardless, we’ll send you away with new skills and with activities to work on to continue to make progress. 

Join Safe Routes to School, Cascadia Mobility, the City of Eugene, the City of Springfield and Shift Community Cycles for this fun event with pedal-powered smoothies, bike checks, information about bike share, and possibly a chance to head to the streets for some traffic safety instruction and experience in a group setting. 

You don’t need your own bike to participate, but please bring a helmet and bike if you have one. Contact Safe Routes to School at (541) 516-0887 or mazze_s@4j.lane.edu with questions or to volunteer.

Title 1 Assessment Testing

The Eugene 4j School District administers both reading and math assessments to each of our students three times a year ~ fall, winter, and spring. Students scoring below the 20th percentile may be recommended, by the building-level team, to receive instructional interventions in reading and/or math. Students receiving interventions will have their progress monitored during regular intervals. At our school, all students receive 45 minutes of reading instruction and 45 minutes of instruction in the area of mathematics, each day. Parents/guardians will be notified if their child is recommended to receive additional reading or math instruction.

 

DISTRICT NOTIFICATIONS

Regarding Bullying, Intimidation, Harassment, Discrimination, Hazing and Retaliation – Eugene School District 4J has policies and programs to prohibit and prevent bullying, intimidation, harassment, discrimination, hazing and retaliation. Discrimination is prohibited on the basis of disability, race, color, national origin, ethnicity, sex, sexual orientation, age, religion, marital status, socioeconomic status, source of income, cultural background, familial status, physical characteristic, or linguistic characteristic of a national origin group, in any instructional program, extracurricular activity, or in the provision of any other service or benefit.

The district encourages students, parents and other patrons to share their concerns with district officials if they believe they or someone else has been the victim of bullying, intimidation, harassment, discrimination, hazing or retaliation. They can be assured that no reprisal or adverse action will occur as a consequence of initiating a complaint. Complaint forms and information about the complaint process are available in all 4J school offices and at the 4J Education Center, 200 North Monroe Street, Eugene, OR 97402. School to Inform Parents if Their Student Receives a Threat – “Oregon law requires schools to inform parents if their child’s name appears on a targeted list (i.e. a “hit list”) that threatens violence or harm from another student.” We will be using the following procedure to inform you if your student either receives or makes a serious threat of violence or harm.

If your child’s’s name appears on a list threatening violence or harm by another student, we will attempt to meet with you personally, or talk by telephone, within 12 hours of learning about the threat. We will tell you about the threat, who made it (if we know) , and the action we are taking to respond to it. We will also send you a notice within 24 hours, stating that your child received a threat. Our number one priority will be to make sure that school is safe for your children.

If your child made the threat, we will let you know that he or she made it and the action we are taking, including informing the parents of the student who received the threat that your student made. We are also required by the district’s “Student Rights and Responsibilities Handbook” to inform the police.

Actualizaciones del protocolo COVID

Se anima a las familias que dejan a los estudiantes en coche a aparcar en el aparcamiento de la Iglesia de la Comunidad de North Park al otro lado de la calle y caminar a la escuela. Esto reduce en gran medida la congestión de tráfico en nuestro estacionamiento.

 

Desayuno matutino

El desayuno comenzará a servirse a las 7:30 en la cafetería y terminará a las 7:50. Los estudiantes que quieran desayunar pueden ir andando a la cafetería. Cuando terminen de comer, deberán caminar hasta la entrada de su nivel de grado designado. Los alumnos que lleguen tarde deberán registrarse en la oficina y recibirán un desayuno para llevar. El desayuno y los almuerzos son gratuitos para todos los estudiantes.

 

Estudiantes que llegan tarde a la oficina

Las puertas se cierran a las 7:55 y los estudiantes que lleguen después de esa hora deben registrarse en la oficina antes de ir a clase.

Habrá alguna gracia la primera semana de clases, pero a partir de la primera semana completa de clases, todas las puertas cerrarán puntualmente a las 7:55.

 

Procedimientos de salida

Al final del día, los estudiantes saldrán del edificio con su maestro, usando las puertas de entrada/salida designadas. Los estudiantes que toman el autobús serán acompañados por el personal a su autobús. Los estudiantes que vayan en bicicleta o caminando saldrán con su profesor. Los estudiantes que esperan ser recogidos esperarán con su maestro en las áreas designadas abajo.

Los conductores deben seguir el flujo de tráfico en un solo sentido indicado en el mapa de abajo.

 

Recordatorio del estacionamiento

El estacionamiento es para las familias que quieren acompañar a su hijo a las entradas del edificio durante la llegada o que desean encontrarse con su hijo al final del día en la salida. Por favor, tenga en cuenta las siguientes reglas para el estacionamiento:

• Cruzar SOLO usando el paso de peatones. Los estudiantes y las familias nunca deben cruzar el camino de entrada.
• Antes de utilizar el paso de peatones, los estudiantes y los adultos deben detenerse y buscar los coches.

Si un alumno llega antes de que se abran las puertas a las 7:55, esperará en su coche o se situará en un lugar de la acera junto a su entrada asignada. Se anima a las familias que dejan a los estudiantes en coche a aparcar en el aparcamiento de la Iglesia de la Comunidad de North Park, al otro lado de la calle, y a caminar hasta la escuela. Esto reduce en gran medida la congestión de tráfico en nuestro estacionamiento.

 

Recordatorio de estacionamiento en la acera

Por las mañanas, los estudiantes pueden ser dejados a lo largo de la acera. Al final del día, los conductores pueden aparcar en pausa a lo largo de la acera para recoger a sus estudiantes cuando salgan a la hora de la salida. Por favor, tenga en cuenta las siguientes reglas para el estacionamiento en pausa:

• Los conductores deben permanecer en sus coches en todo momento.
• Los conductores deben avanzar a medida que haya espacio disponible.
• Los conductores NO deben detenerse en las áreas marcadas para el cruce de peatones.
• Al entrar o salir de un coche, los estudiantes deben utilizar la puerta del lado de la acera. Los estudiantes nunca deben entrar o salir de un coche en el lado del conductor. Es inseguro para el estudiante y ralentiza el tráfico.
• Los conductores deben recordar que SIEMPRE deben ceder el paso en los cruces peatonales pintados y en las aceras.

 

 

Material escolar… sólo una mochila

El Distrito Escolar 4J está proporcionando la mayoría de los suministros que las familias suelen comprar. Por favor, planee enviar a su estudiante a la escuela con una mochila (sin ruedas, por favor). El maestro de su hijo puede tener algunas otras solicitudes de suministros pequeños que compartirán una vez que comience la escuela, pero tenemos los lápices, crayones, marcadores, tijeras y otros elementos básicos cubiertos.

Día de Trabajo de Holt 2022
Sábado, 27 de agosto 8:00-12:00

¡3 horas pueden hacer una gran diferencia!  Únase a sus vecinos para ayudar a la Escuela Primaria Holt desmalezando y embelleciendo el terreno este próximo sábado 27 de agosto de nueve a mediodía.

La mañana se dedicará a trabajar juntos para desyerbar alrededor de los jardines de la escuela. Un almuerzo de pizza GRATIS será proporcionado por North Park Community Church como agradecimiento por invertir en nuestro vecindario.

Aquí es cómo participar:

Proyecto Esperanza

¡Por favor, den la bienvenida a las siguientes personas al increíble personal de Holt!

Kendalynn Ball (3er grado) – Kendalynn también fue estudiante de magisterio en Holt el año pasado en el salón de Liz Ayres y también enseñó 2do grado en la escuela de verano en Holt los últimos dos meses.

Bibliotecario (Robbie Cortez) – La Junta Escolar 4J está probando tener bibliotecarios con licencia durante cinco años en tres escuelas y Holt es una de esas escuelas. Robbie fue nuestro bibliotecario clasificado este año pasado, pero también es un educador con licencia y con gusto lo contratamos para este nuevo puesto con licencia.

Michael Dempsey (2º Grado) – Michael es un profesor experimentado que ha enseñado desde 2004, empezando a enseñar a estudiantes de primaria en el Bronx, Nueva York, a enseñar en la Escuela Internacional de Hong Kong y más recientemente a enseñar en la Escuela Internacional Ruamrudee en Tailandia.

Marissa Harshbarger (3er grado) – Marissa enseñó el año pasado en las escuelas primarias de Edgewood en un aula mixta de 4/5 y tiene experiencia previa como EA de educación especial y también EA de comportamiento en Springfield.

Emily Henson (Educación Especial) – Emily es nuestra nueva maestra de educación especial de tiempo completo y viene a nosotros desde Utah donde enseñó en un aula autónoma en una escuela chárter de autismo.

Felisha LaCuesta (Coordinadora de Recursos Familiares) – Felicia llega a nosotros desde el Distrito Escolar de Salem-Kaiser donde era la Defensora de Estudiantes McKinney-Vento (sin hogar). Whitney Oliver (Educación Especial) – Whitney es nuestra nueva maestra de educación especial de medio tiempo, que estará en Holt en la mañana y en Gilham en la tarde. Ella es una maestra con experiencia que recientemente fue la maestra del centro de aprendizaje integral en la escuela primaria Chavez.

Myah Rahborn (2do. Grado) – Myah enseñó en Holt el año pasado con Ashley Reich y luego fue una suplente regular para nosotros en la primavera, pero antes de eso fue una EA en el Distrito Escolar de Lebanon y terminó su tiempo allí enseñando 3er. grado con una licencia de emergencia.

Asistencia y retrasos de los estudiantes

Uno de los predictores más confiables del éxito escolar es la asistencia regular. Las ausencias por cualquier motivo suponen una pérdida de tiempo de instrucción. Sabemos que los estudiantes que se retrasan a menudo se convierten en estudiantes desanimados. Es nuestra esperanza que podamos trabajar juntos para fomentar la asistencia regular de su hijo y el éxito en la escuela. Entendemos que hay muchos factores en sus vidas que hacen difícil, a veces, que su hijo esté en la escuela o a tiempo. Sin embargo, es importante que trabajemos con usted para reducirlos al mínimo. Las actividades de clase comienzan puntualmente por la mañana. Esta hora de clase matutina es uno de los momentos más importantes del día. Cuando un niño llega tarde, no sólo ha perdido un valioso tiempo de clase, sino que es un trastorno para sus compañeros.

Cuando su hijo vaya a llegar tarde o a ausentarse de la escuela, por favor llame a la línea de asistencia al 790-6111, antes de las 8:15 a.m. e informe al personal de la oficina. Puede dejar un mensaje en el buzón de voz, si llama antes del horario de oficina. Por favor, deje el nombre de su hijo, el nombre de su profesor y el motivo de la ausencia. Es extremadamente importante que esto se haga, ya que cada niño debe ser contabilizado diariamente. Actualice la información sanitaria de su hijo

Asegúrese de que los registros de salud de su hijo están al día. Queremos estar al tanto de los diagnósticos de base respiratoria, alergias u otras condiciones de salud. Mensajes para los alumnos

Por favor, asegúrese de que su hijo/a sabe lo que se espera que haga cuando termine la jornada escolar antes de salir de casa por la mañana. El personal no está disponible para entregar mensajes en mano a lo largo del día y cuando suena el timbre al final de la jornada escolar es difícil conectar con los niños individualmente. Estamos contentos de entregar mensajes en una situación de EMERGENCIA, pero si es posible, por favor asegúrese de que su(s) hijo(s) sepa(n) quién los recogerá, si debe(n) caminar a casa o tomar el autobús antes de salir a la escuela.

 

¿Cómo puedo encontrar la parada de autobús de mi hijo? 

El Departamento de Transporte de 4J tiene un sistema para encontrar la parada de autobús de su hijo y los horarios. Los pasos son los siguientes:

Vaya a www.4j.lane.edu, seleccione la pestaña “departamento”, a continuación seleccione la pestaña “transporte”, y finalmente seleccione “encontrar mi parada de autobús” e introduzca su dirección. De este modo se obtendrá la información más precisa disponible.

 

Información del estudiante disponible para los padres sin custodia

Pruebas de evaluación del Título 1

El Distrito Escolar Eugene 4j administra evaluaciones de lectura y matemáticas a cada uno de nuestros estudiantes tres veces al año ~ otoño, invierno y primavera. Los estudiantes que obtienen una puntuación por debajo del 20º percentil pueden ser recomendados, por el equipo del edificio, para recibir intervenciones de instrucción en lectura y/o matemáticas. Los estudiantes que reciben intervenciones tendrán su progreso monitoreado durante intervalos regulares. En nuestra escuela, todos los estudiantes reciben 45 minutos de instrucción en lectura y 45 minutos de instrucción en el área de matemáticas, cada día. Los padres/tutores serán notificados si se recomienda que su hijo reciba instrucción adicional en lectura o matemáticas.

 

NOTIFICACIONES DEL DISTRITO

Con respecto a la intimidación, el acoso, la discriminación, las novatadas y las represalias – El Distrito Escolar 4J de Eugene tiene políticas y programas para prohibir y prevenir la intimidación, el acoso, la discriminación, las novatadas y las represalias. El distrito anima a los estudiantes, padres y otros usuarios a compartir sus preocupaciones con los funcionarios del distrito si creen que ellos o alguien más ha sido víctima de acoso, intimidación, hostigamiento, discriminación, novatadas o represalias. Pueden estar seguros de que no se producirá ninguna represalia o acción adversa como consecuencia de iniciar una queja. Los formularios de denuncia y la información sobre el proceso de denuncia están disponibles en todas las oficinas de las escuelas 4J y en el Centro de Educación 4J, 200 North Monroe Street, Eugene, OR 97402. La escuela debe informar a los padres si su estudiante recibe una amenaza – “La ley de Oregón requiere que las escuelas informen a los padres si el nombre de su hijo aparece en una lista de objetivos (es decir, una “lista de éxitos”) que amenaza con violencia o daño de otro estudiante”. Utilizaremos el siguiente procedimiento para informarle si su estudiante recibe o hace una amenaza seria de violencia o daño.

Si el nombre de su hijo aparece en una lista en la que se amenaza con violencia o daño por parte de otro alumno, intentaremos reunirnos con usted personalmente, o hablar por teléfono, en un plazo de 12 horas tras conocer la amenaza. Le informaremos de la amenaza, de quién la ha hecho (si lo sabemos) y de las medidas que estamos tomando para responder a ella. También le enviaremos una notificación en un plazo de 24 horas, indicando que su hijo ha recibido una amenaza. Nuestra prioridad número uno será asegurarnos de que la escuela sea segura para sus hijos.

Si su hijo hizo la amenaza, le haremos saber que la hizo y la acción que estamos tomando, incluyendo la información a los padres del estudiante que recibió la amenaza que su estudiante hizo. También estamos obligados por el “Manual de derechos y responsabilidades del estudiante” del distrito a informar a la policía.
