Looking for a way to be involved at Holt? Want a chance for your voice to be heard? At the next Parent Board (Parents At Holt School – PAHS) meeting on May 11, we will be voting on Board Positions for the 2023-2024 school year. COVID left us with a small group, so there are many positions available. Facilitator, Facilitator-Elect, Volunteer Coordinator, Communications Coordinator, and Members at Large/Site Council reps are needed. There are also several committee chairperson roles available. Please email pahsboard@gmail.com with any questions or if you are interested in participating in PAHS – whether or not you have an interest in being on the Board.

This Tuesday is a Holt Night Out Fundraiser at Papa’s Pizza on Coburd Road!
Just bring the flyer and Papa’s Pizza will donate 50% of your purchase to Holt!

Parent Education Series – School to Heart to Home
Conscious Discipline Parent Nights, April 25th, 5:45-7:15
Being a parent is a hard job! At times, our emotions get in the way of our ability to access our own parenting brilliance. Wouldn’t it be nice to respond to conflict with rational thinking and problem-solving? Join us as we learn to regulate our emotions and stop reacting out of impulse or tradition, so we can help our kids regulate their own emotions and reactions to every-day events and challenges.

Have a kinder starting in the fall? Come meet other incoming kindergartners and other families Wednesday, April 26th at 3:30 on the Holt playground!
Kona Ice – Holt Shave Ice Fundraiser, Thursday, April 27th
Want to support Holt and get yummy shave ice when you pick up at dismissal?
Bus riders will be dismissed early if they brought money for shave ice, so they have time to buy and eat their shave ice before getting onto the bus.
Kona Ice is coming to Holt on Thursday, April 27th from 1:30-3:00, and is giving us a percentage of all sales this day.

Holt Spirit Day – Wacky Hat Day, April 28th
Friday, April 28th is the monthly Holt Spirit Day and this time it’s Wacky Hat Day!
Student Council originally wanted to do “Recycle Day” for this month’s Spirit Day to coincide with Earth Day, but then had trouble coming up with how people would dress up for this day, so we’re moving up next Wacky Hat Day a month earlier!
Wear your favorite or wackiest hat or headwear, or simply wear your Holt spirit gear!

Move EUG Community Planning Project
The City of Eugene Transportation Planning Team wants to hear from you! Do you walk, bike, or take the bus to get around? Do you have safety concerns when walking, biking or driving a car? If so, visit the Move EUG Engage Eugene page to share your transportation project ideas via an interactive map, and take a survey about your experiences while walking and biking in town. Día del Espíritu Holt – Día del Sombrero Chiflado, 28 de abril
El viernes 28 de abril es el Día del Espíritu de Holt y esta vez es el Día del Sombrero Chiflado.
El Consejo Estudiantil originalmente quería hacer el “Día del Reciclaje” para el Día del Espíritu de este mes para coincidir con el Día de la Tierra, pero luego tuvo problemas para idear cómo se disfrazaría la gente para este día, ¡así que estamos adelantando el próximo Día del Sombrero Chiflado al mes anterior!
Ponte tu sombrero o gorro favorito o más estrafalario, ¡o simplemente ponte tu ropa de espíritu de Holt!
