Double Good Popcorn Fundraiser
This is a no-pressure fundraiser, just like our Holt Night Out events. Last spring, our staff enjoyed a large donation of popcorn from Double Good, and since you can only purchase Double Good’s popcorn during a fundraising event, we decided to host a couple throughout the year to give everyone a chance to purchase some. Opens: Monday, October 6 at 12 pm Closes: Friday, October 10 at 12 pm When you buy Double Good’s popcorn, 50% of your purchase comes back to our school, and you receive a delicious reward delivered right to your door! Shop now and ENJOY!

Behavior Bolt - Find Courtesy
⚡ You can teach children about courtesy by helping them see the actions of others. When you are "out and about," point out times when someone is being courteous and notice how people react.
From the School Nurse
Friday, October 3rd, is Holt’s annual school vision screening. The Oregon Lions will perform vision checks using a Spot Screener for all students in grades K-5. If your student wears glasses or contacts, please have them bring those to school and wear them for the vision screening. A white ½ sheet form will come home in their homework folder about 2 school weeks after the clinic with your student’s results. On November 13th and 14th, Lane County Dental Prevention will do a quick dental exam for all students. Yellow permission forms have been sent home and need to be returned for any students needing fluoride varnish and/or sealant application. These need to be returned as soon as possible. If you are not interested in having your student screened for dental, vision, or both, please let me know at least two school days before the screening. Please include the specific screening you are opting your child out of and the reason (religious or have submitted proof of vision/dental care previously to the school). Thanks! Gyna Wohlers RN, wohlers_g@4j.lane.edu
