Holt Curriculum Night and the Title 1 Annual Meeting will be on Tuesday, Sept. 26th. Connect with your child’s teacher and learn about your child’s classroom & school year! Grade-level meeting times will be:

• 5:00-5:25, Grades K/1
• 5:30-5:55, Grades 2/3
• 6:00-6:25, Grades 4/5

There will be FREE pizza for families in the cafeteria from 5:30-6:30 and childcare for students 5 years or older in the gym.

Holt Spirit Day, Sept. 29
Ultimate Holt Spirit Day!

Friday, September 29 is our first monthly Holt Spirit Day and we’re kicking things off with an Ultimate Holt Spirit Day!

Come to school in Holt-colored (purple & green) clothes, hair, face, etc., and/or wear your Holt Gear!

Dismissal Student Pick-Up Reminders

Drivers should follow the one-way direction traffic flow indicated in the map below.

Families are encouraged to park in the North Park Community Church parking lot across the street. This greatly reduces traffic congestion in our parking lot.

If you are parking in the street, be considerate to our neighbors and not block driveways or mailboxes.

For curbside pause parking pick-up:

• Drivers must remain in their cars at all times.
• Drivers should pull forward as space becomes available.
• Drivers should NOT stop in marked crosswalk areas.

Cub Scouts Opportunity

Boys and Girls aged 5-10 who would like to join Cub Scouts may come to the first meeting at 7:00 p.m., September 19th at Garden Way Church on 231 N. Garden Way.

Boys who are 11 can join the Boy Scouts. Troop 175, meets at Westminster Presbyterian Church at the corner of Coburg Rd. and Harlow at 7:00 p.m. every Monday.

• Holt Night Out Fundraiser – DoughMo Cookies, Thursday, Sept. 28th! – Owned by a Holt family and located in Downtown Eugene at 980 Oak St. under the Overpark Parking Garage (free parking), grab some cookies and just mention Holt when ordering and a percentage of your purchase will go to Holt!
• Picture Day is Coming, Thursday, October 5 – Order your school pictures now at mylifetouch.com and enter the Picture Day ID EVT3JP9HZ. Thursday, October 5th. Picture retakes will be on November 16th.
• Extra Yards for Teachers Nomination – Nominate a Teacher today a teacher who goes above and beyond for their students!  Oct. 21 deadline.

• After School Chess Club – Sign up now for an After School Chess Club at Holt at Holt on Thursdays, 2:30 to 3:30 PM, starting September 21st. Students can try the club out before paying the tuition.
• Holt Spirit Gear Orders Due WEDNESDAY – The Holt School Apparel Store will be open until September 20th. Orders will be delivered to the Holt two weeks later.

EEF 5K Fun Run

The EEF 5K and Fun Run is an opportunity for all schools and grade levels to run, skip, or roll alongside friends and family, fundraise for the future of education, and get to know the community organizations working to ensure 4J students are On Track for Success! The Eugene Education Foundation’s Community-Wide 5K for 4J will be on Saturday, October 14th at Alton Baker Park. The Fun Run begins @ 10:00 AM. The 5K begins @ 10:30 AM. Since the start of the Kinder/1st Learn to Ride program in 2019, we’ve taught more than 1,000 kids to ride bikes in 4J alone! When you include the many students who’ve learned in Springfield and Bethel, as well as the thousands who have gained critical traffic safety skills in our 5th/6th-grade bike safety classes, we’ve got thousands of students to celebrate!

¡El viernes, 29 de septiembre es nuestro primer Día del Espíritu Holt mensual y vamos a empezar las cosas con un Día del Espíritu Holt Ultimate!

Vengan a la escuela con ropa, cabello, cara, etc. del color de Holt (morado y verde), y/o vistan su equipo de Holt.

Recordatorios para recoger a los alumnos a la salida

Los conductores deben seguir el flujo de tráfico en un solo sentido indicado en el mapa de abajo.

Se anima a las familias a aparcar en el estacionamiento de North Park Community Church al otro lado de la calle. Esto reduce mucho la congestión de tráfico en nuestro estacionamiento.

EEF 5K Fun Run
