Electronics Recycling Competition - Starts Wednesday!
Have old electronics you want to recycle? We will have collection bins at Holt this Thursday through Mar. 6 for the Next Step Electronics Recycling Competition. Eligible e-waste includes microwaves, TVs, printers, cords, cables, cell phones, computers, computer accessories (whether in working condition or not), tablets, old or broken game consoles, remotes, and AV equipment (i.e., stereos, speakers, DVD players, etc.). If it plugs in or takes batteries, we'll take it!

Friday, Feb. 28, is Holt Spirit Day, and this time, it’s Crazy Hair Day! Create your wackiest and wildest hairdo, or just wear your Holt spirit gear!
PTO School Cents Hope & Safety Alliance Donation Drive
EARN 3x POINTS by submitting receipts from All American Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Shops, Candy Tyme, Cotton On, H&M, Hot Topic, Journeys, PacSun, Pandora, Vans, and West End Boutique. All receipts are due by March 31 (dated since October 1). Submit Receipts Here or email holtelementaryschoolcents@gmail.com for the PTO to submit receipts on your behalf!
Donation Drive: Drop toiletries and other NEW donations at Holt between March 3-14 of feminine hygiene products, Full-size shampoo/conditioner, Deodorant, Full-size body lotion, Full-size body wash, Sports bras, Cotton swabs, Fragrance-free toiletries, Makeup, Women’s underwear, Sweatpants, Leggings, and Denture care items.

State Tests: Opting Out
Under Oregon law, a parent or student age 18+ may opt out of Oregon’s annual statewide math and language arts assessments by filling out an annual opt-out form, which, starting this year, can be submitted online. Exemptions from the English language proficiency (for students whose primary language is not English) or science tests may also be requested based on a student’s disability or religious beliefs. Sheldon Little League: Registration Open
Sheldon Little League registration is now open and will be available until March 8th via sheldonlittleleague.com. Sheldon Little League provides baseball opportunities for kids ages 4 – 14 residing within the Sheldon and Harrisburg High School boundaries.
The mission of Sheldon Little League is to provide kids the opportunity to learn and apply teamwork, physical activity, and sportsmanship. Sheldon Little League is dedicated to encouraging and developing a love of the game.
