PTO Meeting Thursday
Our Annual meeting is this Thursday, May 2, at 6:00 pm in the Library. Childcare will be available in the gym starting at 5:45 pm. This meeting is going to be filled with some vital program decisions for the 2024-2025 school year, along with preparing for our last three events: Staff Appreciation Week, Holt Bolt (jog-a-thon), and Field Day.

Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week: May 6-10
Help us celebrate and show our appreciation to all of the Holt Teachers and Staff during the week of May 6 - 10. We have a sign-up for food donations for the week. On Friday, the theme is school supplies and most of the teachers have given us a list of needed school supplies for their classroom.
Monday: Sip Sip Hooray! Hydration Station
Tuesday: We DONUT know what we would do without you! Breakfast goodies
Wednesday: NACHO Average Teacher & Staff. Taco bar
Thursday: If you give a teacher a cookie, they will want some coffee! Sweet Treats & Coffee
Friday: You just HAP-PEN to be very INK-CREDIBLE! School supplies for teachers

Holt Bolt Coming Soon!!!
Our annual fundraiser, the Holt Bolt (Jog-a-thon), is coming up on May 17th. Fundraising Packets are being sent home with students today, alongside their Monday Mailer envelope, for families to start collecting donations for the event. Students will earn raffle tickets throughout this event for both receiving pledges, but also for just turning back in their signed fundraising packet and participating in the event. Today, the kids got a virtual preview of the various raffle prizes they could win. You can get a look at the prizes, see what earns raffle tickets, and how to fundraise on our website https://tinyurl.com/HoltBolt2024.
Timeline for donations:
April 29: Packets sent home with students
May 17: Holt Bolt (jog-a-thon)
May 24: Packets & money due back to be counted towards fundraising and raffle prizes.
June 3 - 14: Prizes distributed

ArtSPARK Artist Grant. New Artist Starting this Week!
Thanks to support from ArtSpark Eugene, a collaborative initiative led by the Rotary Club of Eugene, Lane Arts Council, the Eugene Education Foundation, and Eugene School District 4J, Holt Elementary School students get two professional artists visit this year. Our second artist in residence begins this Monday with Kelly Thibodeaux teaching The Art of Fiddling and the Mystique of Louisiana. Over the next three weeks, all classes will get four sessions where in a short time all students will learn the basics of playing a fiddle (violin). |

Reunión del PTO el jueves
Nuestra reunión anual es este jueves 2 de mayo a las 6:00 pm en la Biblioteca. El cuidado de niños estará disponible en el gimnasio a partir de las 5:45 pm. Esta reunión estará llena de algunas decisiones vitales del programa para el año escolar 2024-2025, además de la preparación para nuestros últimos tres eventos: Semana de Agradecimiento al Personal, Holt Bolt (maratón de jogging) y Día de Campo.

Semana de agradecimiento a los maestros y al personal: del 6 al 10 de mayo
Ayúdenos a celebrar y mostrar nuestro agradecimiento a todos los maestros y personal de Holt durante la semana del 6 al 10 de mayo. Estamos inscritos para recibir donaciones de alimentos para la semana. El viernes, el tema es útiles escolares y la mayoría de los maestros nos han dado una lista de útiles escolares necesarios para sus aulas.

¡¡¡Holt Bolt próximamente!!!
Nuestra recaudación de fondos anual, el Holt Bolt (Jog-a-thon), se llevará a cabo el 17 de mayo. Hoy se enviarán a casa paquetes de recaudación de fondos con los estudiantes, junto con su sobre de envío del lunes, para que las familias comiencen a recolectar donaciones para el evento. Los estudiantes ganarán boletos para la rifa a lo largo de este evento tanto por recibir promesas como por simplemente devolver su paquete de recaudación de fondos firmado y participar en el evento. Hoy, los niños tuvieron una vista previa virtual de los distintos premios de la rifa que podrían ganar. Cronograma para donaciones:
29 de abril: paquetes enviados a casa con los estudiantes
17 de mayo: Holt Bolt (maratón de jogging)
24 de mayo: Los paquetes y el dinero adeudados se contarán para la recaudación de fondos y los premios de la rifa.
3 al 14 de junio: Distribución de premios

| DEL DISTRITO ESCOLAR 4J DE EUGENE Y LA COMUNIDAD |

Beca para artistas ArtSPARK. ¡Nuevo artista a partir de esta semana!
Gracias al apoyo de ArtSpark Eugene, una iniciativa de colaboración dirigida por el Club Rotario de Eugene, Lane Arts Council, la Fundación Educativa de Eugene y el Distrito Escolar 4J de Eugene, los estudiantes de la Escuela Primaria Holt reciben la visita de dos artistas profesionales este año. Nuestro segundo artista en residencia comienza este lunes con Kelly Thibodeaux enseñando El arte de tocar el violín y la mística de Luisiana. Durante las próximas tres semanas, todas las clases tendrán cuatro sesiones donde en poco tiempo todos los estudiantes aprenderán los conceptos básicos de tocar el violín. |
